As I sip on my Earl Grey tea, I gaze about at the ceiling high mess that I am sitting in. I am amazed how many random items are stored away in the bedrooms, from board games to winter clothes, everything sure does add up.
I ponder "How did we get here?". Well it has been an adventurous first year of marriage which has seen jobs come and go, bodies malfunctioning, bedrooms soaked from summer storms and appliances calling it quits, the list goes on! Its funny how when one thing goes wrong it sort of starts a snowball affect, where everything that pretty much can go wrong, will and does go wrong. This is the time you need a holiday, positive thoughts and things to go smoothly. Which of course due to the large snowball that is building up speed and might down the mountain side causing holes in your wallet and sleepless nights, there is no opportunity for such upbuilding things!
Fortunately that snowball has to stop somewhere, that mountain is only so big! No matter what mess you are in once the avalanche subsides, you have got to take stock and see the big picture, pick yourself up and wipe off the snow and look up at the sun smiling down on you. Lucky for us, we are very happlily married and have learnt alot about each other over the past 9 months.
So today being the official day the carpet is finally being replaced, it can only be up from here!
